I want to get rid of my stock turn signals and customize it with these LED strips.

Also would be cool to figure out a way to use these strips for the taillight

look pretty cool. make sure they'll pass whatever yearly tech inspection you need to pass in MA though.

Massachusettes requires turn signals by law...that means you can't utilyze anything not DOT approved and it'll fail inspection.  You need to keep this in mind while looking to change your lighting.

This is a god resource for state-required information.  It's pretty nice to be able to tell the inspector to "prove it" when he says you need to change something.

I, unfortunately, am an expert when it comes to legality in lighting on automobiles (lets just say I bought some police lights...)

The automotive industry has been moving to MORE visible indicators.  Cool is neat, but obvious is safer.  Whatever you do should be viewable at a wide angle, not just head-on.

Although there has been some movement to use of LED's as running and stop lighting, I haven't seen the motorcycle industry use them for turn indicators.  Maybe there's a reason to that?  :dunno:

These are actually viewable from 120 degrees.  And since they are flexible, I can wrap them a bit around something, making the viewing area larger.

Legal, visable... Whatever...

I'm having a hard time thinking it would look cool on the GS...  Seems like a low-rider mod... :dunno:
