I asked my father for a passenger helmet for my GS (not scooter) for christmas and it wasn't exactly what I expected... I know I wouldn't want to ride with this thing on my head over 60 km/h, and I sure wouldn't want my girlfriend or any other passenger for that matter wearing this... Oddly enough this funny little CKX scooterish helmet is both DOT and Snell approved... my Vega Summit (modular) is only DOT approved :? His intentions were good, but I'm gonna bring this thing back and invest a few more bucks for a full face me thinks.

Lloyd Christmas!
Come on, it's cute. You should at least pretend that you're gonna make your girlfriend wear it before you return it...and tell her if she doesn't then she can't ride with you.
She'd probably tell me if I won't let her ride with me, then she won't let me ride with her, if you get my meaning...
Gotcha. I guess you should just return it :dunno:
But thank your dad for trying. I wish my parents would attempt buying me gear!
I'd feel guilty for returning...I'd say it didn't fit propperly...
Good idea :o Only problem is that I'll have to spin an immensly elaborate web of interconnecting lies in order for this to work, which isn't hard at all.
Uhh... Yeah... Goodbye "helmet"
Just say your girlfriend didn't like the style. Now it's her problem. :)
LMFAO well I got my sister and girlfriend (main passengers) in on my scheme, they thought it was cute at first, until I showed them some videos of bike crashes hahaha.
Why not show him the videos of the bike crashes... After those, hell INSIST you exchange it for something better! :thumb:
I just had to ask, I have been wondering about this for a while, ever since I seen your avatar; "Is that you in you Avatar?"
LMFAO... personally it looks to me to be one of king kupa's minions on the Super Mario Brothers live action movie from the 90's...
Hey you could have gotten HARLEY boots for christmas  Thats what I get for asking for boots I guess

Maduro Mistress is looking for a new set of boots since her b/f took hers...
Ahhh if they don't bike they're just don't seem to know... I tried to exchange the POS but they said it was on sale for xmas so they couldn't refund it. I guess my passengers will have to trade safety for... style? And no, thats not me in my picture  Its Mike Smith, aka Bubbles!!! Hes one of the stars of the best show to ever have come out of Eastern Canada, Trailer Park Boys!!! I suggest you download some episodes, or if you have Showcase/BBC America just turn it on some night and watch the boys! I'm psyched for their movie coming out this summer :thumb:
Seen worse. I'd see if he'd give you the reciept amd let you upgrade to a full face. Just say a full face is safer.
I asked them if I could get store credit or trade-up for something else but they said it was a special promotional sale for the helmets so I couldn't
You might wanna go the "damaged" route...
I've been working retail for 5 years... unfortunately, this works 95% of the time.
Ya mean rip a strap halfway out and say "I bought this for xmas but just took it out recently and it seems that its broken"?
Maybe not that obvious...
Maybe there was something "broken" on the inside where it's very hard to get at (hinges). Some retailers won't bother taking something apart to find a problem.
Oh hey! Didn't you say your g/f was compaining of a rattle when you were riding at 60mph? Most retailers won't test a potential broken item. :thumb:
I'm thinking Ebay....
Ebay... I would've thought about that solution EVENTUALLY... :thumb:
