How many shoes do you own? You can include all footwear. And how many is excessive?
oh yeah, i have 16
I have more cars than I have shoes...not pairs, just shoes.
I'm simple... Four pairs:
Black sneakers for work
Black dress shoes for business attire
"white" sneakers for other stuff
Hiking boots, bought them mainly for the MSF course. They are CONFORTABLE tho[/list:u]

How many cars you have and what kind?
86 SE RX
87 Sport
88 Turbo II
MKI Supra
328i
F150 XLT
70 Grand Prix
88 F150
Hiking boots
Motorcycle boots
Sneakers for tearing up
Sneakers for general use
Sneakers for style (beat up Converse All-Stars)
2 sets of flip-flops
Dress shoes for special occasions
So: 8
2 pairs hiking boots (both Gore-tex)
1 pair running shoes (New Balance)
1 pair sandles (Walmart)
1 par ski boots
1 pair riding shoes (Joe Rocket)
1 pair riding boots (oxtar)
1 pair down booties (for PA winters)
1 pair dogskin boots (at least thats what I threaten my dog with when she misbehaves ;) )
Not at all excessive... i use them all regularly.
1 pair Es Skating Shoes (every day)
1 pair Dress shoes (only when I have to, or feel like looking really good)
1 pair Tennis Shoes (working out)
1 pair Shower Sandals (those bathrooms are NASTY)
So four... and that's a LOT for me... I didn't use to have shower sandals, or tennis shoes when I was working every day, all I wore was dress shoes..
boots and tennis shoes. why would you need more than that? (girls need not to apply)
I have:
-A pair of black sketcher boots that I wear to work and out casually
-A pair of sketcher sneakers (boots look really stupid with shorts, haha)
-A pair of sandals for beach/camping/summer fun
-A 10 year old pair of logger boots for outside work
Here's a slightly different question:
Who hates buying new shoes?
I do. Because it means I'll be replacing an old pair. About 2 years ago I bought a pair of cheap steel toed boots from Wal-Mart and I swear they've been the best boots I've owned. I've walked the soles off of them, scratched the finnish nearly completely off the foot and worn holes in the insoles and into the rubber underneath. I had to stop wearing them because they were eating my socks alive. I've started wearing a new pair of boots but they're just not the same...
I hear ya Mak. Those 10 year+ boots I mentioned I wore almsot everyday (except for with shorts in the summer) for 10 years. I finally replaced them almost a year ago as my "daily driver" boots. They are in great shape for the age and for what they've been through, they can tell a lot of stories :thumb: But they just look too reatty to wear to work anymore and my GF said she wouldn't go out in public with me unless I got new ones
I'm with you... I hate shopping in general.. the shoes I'm wearing now have no heels on em, as I tend to drag them just a little bit when I walk.. well, walking up and down the giant hill outside my dorm multiple times a day, every day has worn the heels off completely.. but I like it.. and the shoes are COMFY, even though they're almost 2 years old.. a few squirts of febreeze every now and then, and they're GREAT!
shopping for shoes is only fun if I don't have to do it :thumb:
I lied: Shopping for anything (other than motorcycle accesories) is fun only if I don't have to do it.
I have boots, dress shoes, new tennis shoes and my beater tennis shoes. Need new boots but i will worry about it when they fall apart

when you have big feet it gets kind of hard to find lots of shoes.
I own a lot of footwear, but most of it is special purpose. I have 4 or 5 pair that I wear regularly, and about 12 or so others that fill specific needs (running shoes, motorcycle boots, hiking boots, golf spikes, tuxedo shoes, cross trainers, etc.). Other random stuff (combat boots, worn out cross trainers to mow the lawn in, etc.) probably adds another few pair.
I have about 14 pairs of footwear... I wear about 6 of them regularly.
