Just wondering if anyone else has difficulty starting their bike after rejetting, filter and exhaust. The bike is in storage and is about 2 degrees celius right now, had no problem starting it up last year before i did these mods. Now i don't even give a hiccup or cough out of it and i'm sure the electrical etc is all fine, its an '04. Set the fuel to prime to make sure there was fuel in the float bowls....guess i won't know til it warms up a little more here. :dunno:
sounds like you don't have the fuel-air mix screw adjusted just right. Normally after those mods it starts and warms up easier in cold weather.
nope ...that was adjusted correctly as per the specifications in the dynojet kit.

...which is likely a generic setting that'll have next to no relevence to you.
You need it a bit richer.
Did you also check to make sure the gas was in the floatbowls, by checking to see if gas flows out the drains? Also, check the idle screw. Carbs seated and the airboots completely seal around cab mouths?
I think the setting is fine...as it was starting fine close to this temperature before I put it away in storage. Just seems strange that I dont even get a hiccup or sputter out of it....anyhoo...i'll wait til it warms up a bit more and try it again, before I start trouble shooting electrical or anything else.

yah..i'll check the drain screws next time i try. I can definitely smell the gas though.
out of mild curiosity, if you're going to dismiss our advice, why request it? :dunno:
