UT: 41
USC: 38
The most important game in collegiate history has been won by the UT Longhorns, beating USC's 3 year winning streak.
NATIONAL CHAMPIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!![/color]
That was a freakin awesome game... GO LONGHORNS!!!
Oh my god, I was so excited through that whole thing. That was undoubtedly one of the most exciting games I've ever watched. I was freaking out through the last minute and nearly shaZam! my pants during the last 8 seconds when USC was in field goal range.
Vince Young is freaking amazing!!!
That was a great game, the rare one that lives up to the billing.
I'm paying for it this morning :o
Maybe Vince Young shoulda won the Heisman. He was unstoppable. Gotta wonder what Caroll was thinking, having Bush on the sidelines for so many crucial plays :dunno:

Certainly one of the greatest games of the year, up there with USC-ND and UT-OSU. Possibly on of the best games of all time, considering it was the Rose Bowl for the National Championship.
Man BOTH of those teams played like champions. It was a good, clean, competitive game that came down to the last minute. what more can you ask for?

I'll tell you what Caroll was thinking. He was thinking that Bush couldn't find the corner all night and White was bowling the UT defensive front over all night long to the tune of 6 yards a carry. I think White would have won MVP if USC had won the game.

I think you're correct. My layman's football mind just can't get it's arms around the idea that your best player and Heisman winner is on the bench at cruicial times. Makes no sense. Put Bush and White in there, keep the D guessing. Do something.
It was remarkable how few (any?) false starts, offsides, procedural penalties, etc there were. NFL games usually have more!

it was at a neutral field. the crowd noise is not a huge factor. samething in the super bowl.

Yeah man, me too. ouch my head.
USC should have punted instead of going for that last fourth down... But it was a great game. I was ready for the fat lady when they were down by 2 scores with what 5 minutes left... what an ending. Young's a one man team.
I can see why players want to go play for that coach at USC, he's a class act for sure.
that was an awesome game...i was (of course) hoping USC would win...but i have a hunch that Texas was trouble....the SC defense suck..well vince was great..but still...he was running all night..what else is he gonna do on 4th and 5th (?) with 30ish seconds left... :x
oh well...oh..the TX girls are smokin!
It was a fantastic game, even though I was cheering for USC. :(
Even this Texas Aggie enjoyed the game. I'm just not sure if I can continue living in Austin if I have to hear about it for another 30 years!
