nice find!....are you going to fix the dent??...
Yup, as soon as I get home I'm busting out my ding king to pull that sucker out. I'm stuck in Plainview, TX right now, so Austin is far far away. My dad says it looks fantastic though.
you have a link for this dent kind that you have?
And with all the $ you save, you can afford to make a GSTwin donation! :icon_mrgreen:

That's a smokin deal -dent or no dent.
i have a dent king... personally i dont think it works... didnt work for shaZam! on the small dings on my truck. best place to find one though is EBAY.
Yeah. I got the deal of a lifetime on that thing. It was a relist because the previous buyer didn't want to pay with PayPal, and the previous buyer bought it for something like... $78 plus shipping! :) :) :)
I am so freakin' lucky it isn't even funny. Maybe my good luck on the tank was my good karma and it was balanced by the bad karma of my hard drive crashing. I'm on my friend's laptop now.
Or maybe it's just an excuse to stop talking on the board and work on the bike a lot more.

My Ding King thing worked really well on the tank ding I had. I dropped the bike in the parking lot and it got a minor little dent in it from the bars. It pulled it out most of the way; to the point of barely being able to tell it happened. You could see a little waver in the paint, but only if you got it at the right angle. For $15 to $20 I think it's worth a shot.
spend another buck and you will have a tankbag! really :icon_twisted:
too bad you have to actually pay $26 (shipping + $1)
Just to let you guys know... The DENT KING is for DENTS.
Not Dings.
What's the difference you ask? a dent is only where the surface is bent a bit in another direction. A Ding is the same except the metal has stretched a tad bit.
I've had many discussions about this with my car buddies. If you hold a large piece of saran wrap tight enough where there are no wrinkles, and take your palm and push the center a bit, that's a dent.
Now take same experiment mentioned above, but now use your finger and push center . There is no way you can get that out without changing the molecular structure of the material (ie: using heat).
Even if it is a ding, it will still take the majority of the indentation out, even if there is a slight ripple in it. Most of that ding should be covered by the seat, anyways. And if not, who cares. It's still a damn good deal, especially compared to what my current tank looks like.

Oh.. Sorry... I forgot to mention... it IS a great deal though.. and it will probably take most of the dent out, hopefully ALL of it. :)
I'll make an attempt to post a before/after shot of the tank and dent removal. My camera is crapping out on me, so I'm not sure how well that will work, but we'll see.
For $1, who gives a crap... Rattle can the metal and strap that sucker on!!!
Good to go! :thumb:
Nice deal! O0
Ill give you $2 for it. :icon_mrgreen:
Common, 100% profit!
Nice find all the same.
Congrats and nice find, Alpha. Looks like you were in the right place at the right time. Karma indeed.
D.
Yeah, but karma came back to kick my ass. My laptop hard drive got kicked while it was on and now it won't spin up. I lost all my photos, music, documents, and e-mail. Oh, and my camera is being futzy now too.
But at least I have a great tank!
Everything has to balance...
Ying - Yang
Good - Evil
Fire - Water
Bikers - Cagers :icon_lol:
I'm so excited I'm finally going to get to see my tank! It's been sitting at my house for a few days now, and being 8 hours away isn't exactly condusive to admiring its beauty. My only hope is that the blue on the tail will match the blue on the tank. If not, I might invest in getting some '05 tail plastics and turning it into an '05 E.
