hi everyone, erm was wondering if an laser oval deeptone exhaust will fit on my bike? thanks
I think the pros need more details and possibly pics... :dunno_white:
Yup yup yup!!!!!
I have yet to see one on a GS500 so I'd say no...not an off the shelf exhaust.
Anything can fit, though, with modification.
It probably won't be a direct slip/bolt on. If it's a full system, then I doubt it. Unless it's specifically made for the GS then a full system can't be easily modified to fit. A slip-on/bolt-on would be easier, though. Cut a piece off your midpipe, weld a flange on, and bam, you've got your pipe. You can probably get a shop to do it for you.

Link? Pictures? That would help us. You didn't even tell us if it was a slip on or a full system. I answered your question as best I could:

oh sorry man. yes they come in both full system and slip on. sorry about that i was in the middle of a class when i posted that. Ya they are the first full system actually made by a compnay called lazer deeptone. the only place u can get it in the US is in new york (trust me i called a lot of people for it) WHICH HAS THE FULL SYSTEM ON SALE FOR $450. just go on their main website and you will find it. the only problem is that they only have the pics for the gs, but i called the dealer who caries them and they sayd that its made for our bike and it will give more or less a 4hp boost. i think i posted more info some where, i think the tittle was finally a system for our bike or something like that.
ohh ya an pro u just got schooled by a neb.

What in the hell are you talking about? To quote Samuel L. Jackson in Pulp Fiction, "English muthafucka! Do you speak it?!"

Okay, so that other thread was yours? Alright, then in that case the question was already answered in that previous thread. It looks like it will fit, but for $450 you could probably make a better investment. Your bike, though.
ohh ya i totally agree with ya, its better to just change the sproket if u want a faster bike and cams, and all that other stuff.
na bro spanish, i aint no gringo

A different sprocket doesn't make the cams faster. The only way it can make a bike faster is typically in acceleration times if you drop a tooth on the front or add teeth in the rear. It only increases the top speed (theoretically) when the bike is power limited to its top speed.
yeah but if u change the rear sproket u will probably have to change the chain.

...And how exactly does that relate to what you said earlier? That is why most people just change the front sprocket though.
yeah but i was talking to my friend who races bikes and he sayd it easier to change the rear sproket but u might have to change the chain.

They are both trivial tasks. 1 down in the front = 3 in the back, but you don't need to change the change length.
where is the link to this company in NY???
the dealer is Foster Rad. you have to call and order.
or you can get them from Spieglerusa.com
Exoticsportbike.com has the exhaust for an 89 listed but not the 04+.

No one has tested it because it costs $500. It just isn't worth it.
I'm looking at the Ixil site, and I don't see anything regarding it as full system or just a muffler. If it's just a muffler it'll still require fab work. I might call them and find out...
, yeah but still some must have must have bougth them, cause they still exist. so any usefull on this ixil.
sorry ma i realizes i wrote the last sentece wrong, i meant to say, has anyone tried it. yo im thinking about the exhasut, i got the money, but i want to berify improvemetn firt. i was wondering if u knew if the company sponsored any gs500f to test it, i know some guy a wile ago sayd that he had it.
yo i foun him(the guy who put a laser deeeptone to his gs500f) , just got to find his name on this forum heres a link to the site, maibe some one can help me translate the site. i think he sayd like a wile ago he was dutch or something.

With an exhaust system you only typically gain 10% or so if that, which means 4HP for our bike is perfectly understandable.
ok, but do u think 4hp is a notcicible gain.
