Post by: Cal Price on January 18, 2006, 05:29:59 PM
i was wandering about at the local Marina a couple of days back watching them lift a nice boat out of the sea for attention. Looked about half a million quids worth. It was called "REDSHIFT"

Are you some millionairre with a boat in Europe and the sense of humour to paint it Blue ? ?

  Cal, if I was a millionaire, would I be spending Winter in the snow in middle of Michigan?

Still, ya gotta like the irony.  I ride a 2001 GS500 -- Metalic Abyss Blue.

My choice of "RedShift" as a handle is based on physics -- the lengthing of light waves due to objects moving away from each other.  Seemed like a good reference for a novice rider with a mid-life appeal for the sport.  Besides, like the color -- wear a RED Joe Rocket Meteor 3.0 jacket and a RED HJC CL-12 Fusion II helmet.

Unfortunately, I'm short about $996,000 in my bank account to call myself a millionaire.  So come Monday, it's off to work I go...

Thanks for the moment of fame, but sadly it wasn't me...

Heh..cool.

It makes me think, wouldn't it be cool if there were rich, famous celebrities amongst us and we didn't even know it?

Thanks for reminding me -- I need to buy a Mega-Millions lottery ticket, if I have any Pin money left over from shopping at SuperBrightLEDs.com.  (Still need a set of indicator LEDs to replace the bulbs.  Don't know where I'd be if the Neutral light burnt out.  :o )

The Lottery Ticket route is the only way I'll see a million.  (But with Life Insurance I'm worth a lot more to my family dead than alive. -- but don't tell them.   :) )

Yeah, but I was just getting warmed up.  I haven't touched the indicator bulbs, turn signals or the Tail Light yet.  My wife tells me that's what  credit cards are for...
