Title: Lockhart short stalk V marker lights question
Post by: samhkang on January 23, 2006, 11:57:39 PM
Hi, I was just looking around at the dealership today and asked about possible mods for my '05 GS500F. The guy suggested that I get Lockhard short stalk V marker lights for both front and rear.
The part number is 122-9841 (dual filament) and I got two pairs, four total.  I checked both Kerry's and Pantablo's site on this mods and I don't think I need to use the aluminim foil since they already have the silvery metal thingy inside the light.
My questions is(to those who have done this mods).... would it be okay to use this marker lights for Both front and rear? Or just use it for the rear and move the rear stock ones to the front as I read somewhere in the past? Also, are they bright enough for other drivers to see me? The safety and my life comes before the  looks you know.
Lastly, it comes with about 8 inches of wire, do I need to get more wires or just splice the new signals into the existing wires? Do I need those LP marker light connectors as Kerry suggested?
Thanks for your help in advance.

We sell those at work, quite often suprisingly. You can use them front and rear with no problems. They are plenty bright and Lockhart stuff works great. As far as the connectors, you will be fine by splicing, but lockhart makes the connector adapters so you dont have to. Most cycle gears carry them in stock with the flush mounts/L.E.D turn signals, just have to look or ask for some help.
