I'm thinking about getting my rims powder coated and not sure what color to do them in. I have an 01 with the metal flak blue with silver "Suzuki" logo and strip on tank. So what do you guys and gals think? Do them in silver, black or try another color?
Oh, and NO PURPLE!
It's the dark blue, right? Your best bet would be to go with a silver, but not a chrome unless you're into the bling like that. Black would work okay, but I don't think it would compliment that color very well. Do you want a sleek color, or do you want something that will stand out?
I always liked the horribly contrasting white wheels on the older GSes, but with the dark blue I don't think it would work. You're going to want subtle tones if you want to go with the streamlined look.
Why not try matching the bike color to the rim color? That could look pretty good.
a dark bule contrastes very nicely with a red.....
Nothing easier to deal with than a black or navy blue, but a dark wine red would look fun bags.
I was thinking of a dark color, but never thought of red. Does anyone have photo shop that could show me what it might look like?
The silver would look good but I like the idea of RED rims too. It looks good on the DUCATIS.
The complementary color to blue is orange. That is, if you look at a color wheel. If you're going to pick a complementary color, then that's the one you need to pick.
I haven't seen a color wheel since 6th grade art class... man that takes me back.
