Title: NO nude GS 500 in CANADA FOR 2006
Post by: surlybruce on January 26, 2006, 02:40:48 PM
Just came back from the local SUZUKI dealer and they told me no naked GS 500 s will be shipped to CANADA for 2006. So anyone looking to buy should do it soon .

You mean they're going to stop shipping up bikes with naked chicks on them? :o

Where will all the girls come from then?

Daddy? Where do babies come from?

Eh, that's no big deal. Turning them naked is half the fun anyways.

It's more of a general statement that can be applied to all aspects of life.  :thumb:

I already made a tutorial for turning an F to an E! I'll leave it up to you to get anything else you so desire naked. I've got my own methods, and I won't share them!

I found that there were very few new E models left (05) when i was looking in December. A few places had them and they were basicly holding on to them and selling them for nothing less than MSRP it seemed, if they didn't sell it then, they'll for sure sell it when the riding season starts for MSRP i guess they figured. They don't do a very good job of selling the GS @ the dealership, i found that they'd much rather sell you a $9K SV650S or a used SV for about the cost of a new GS500 or something. I got the impression that unless you've done your homework, you wern't all that likely to go to the stealership and come home with a new GS500E/F.

You hit the nail on the head with that statement. When I started to look for my 05 F I had to wait a month for the bloody bike to come in and when it did I knew more about the bike than the dealer. In may 05 when I went to pick up the bike a girl with ZERO training [and even less brain matter ] was having the propaganda put to her by the truck load by the sales dude to buy the KATANA 600.They fired the bike up gave her 2 minutes instruction and sent her down the road. Very much out of control from the get go and of course she drops it when she tried to turn around. then came the guilt trip from the dealer so  [mom and dad ] purchasted it for her. Her thinking in this matter was[ my friends have 600 sport bikes so I want one too ].VERY SAD !

I didn't purchase my bike during any kind of 3yr warranty promotion... Unfortunatly :dunno_white:

The closest Suzuki dealership for me is Barrington, they had an SV650s, a GSXR, and a crapload of Cruisers.  The guy who owns the place is an ass... totally unwilling to help... He actually told me there were no GS500F's in Nova Scotia and had apparantly called around to all the dealerships for me to check.   So I went to ProCycle in Halifax and BAM... Two F's and an E. I didn't have a way to ship one down to Yarmouth so the next week I went to a place in Bridgewater and ProCycle had shipped the blue one there for me. (ProCycle are great people). This was all back in 04' mind u. ... Anyway that's my story.  :thumb:

PRO CYCLE are great to deal with they always have machines on the floor and the price is right. I got my 05 500 F from the THE PRODUCT FINDER in AMHERST N.S. well worth the ride from N.B.
