I'll be in North Carolina/Tennesee area the first week of June or so. Goin' to Deal's Gap. East Coast gathering?
I say New York city, just because!
A gs rally would be sweet
NY would work but deals gap could be very cool too
deals gap all the way...though we might get run over by the busa rally :icon_mrgreen:
Or the FZ1 rally I'll be going with, JS! Those guys are as mod crazy as us GSers though. My dad took his FZ1 and turned it naked. I took my GSF and turned it naked. Ah, like father like son, eh? But seriously. Deals Gap would be an awesome get together.
are you and your dad riding up? it should be a blast! i could only imagine how crowed it would be during summer months though.
no the busas look to .. heavy .. i;v heard there not that great in corners .. the gs's would probly walk over them as long as there was no strightaway at all ! :P .. i know the CBR900RR there top heavy . the one guy i go ride with everynow and then has to watch it :P
New York City?? What?? You crazy? The city would prolly be the worst place for a GS get together. I'm only 3.5 - 4 hours away from NYC, but still..heavy traffic congestion, no curves or twists, no open roads..hehe. It would be good if we all wanna lane split, I guess :thumb:
All of you on the East coast ought to come to PA this summer. We've got about 12 interested GS'ers so far....why not make the ride out, spend the weekend, and camp with some gellow GS'ers? :thumb:

Nah, my dad's not gonna ride up. Too much strain for his age, especially with his set up. SM2s aren't the best bars for touring. We're probably going to throw the bikes into the truck and drive up. We went in the summer of 2004, but I didn't have my bike then, so I had to ride pillion with him. We still had an absolute blast, though.

Yeah there pretty heavy! one of the heaviest supersports around...I sat on a 05' at the dealership when my cousin bought his gixxer 1K....the gixxer 1300 is just too much bike for me and its ugly too! hehe
I saw WA... Since I'm a sissy and could never ride cross country. :icon_confused:

Grab a trailer and tow it behind the Explorer? Or you could take out the back seats and just stick the GS in the back of it.
PA would be cool, i'm in NY that wouldn't be a bad ride. :thumb:

I think the GS would make it farther than the Exploder... then there's the 15 MPG vs 50 MPG... Plus, I'm still too much of a sissy to drive cross-country. :icon_rolleyes:
At least I could take short naps while I was driving the Exploder...
Last time I went to Deal's Gap there was a guy there who rode in from Seattle. He went through a set of tires just GETTING there. He burned through another set while he was there, and then killed ANOTHER set on the way home. Jeebus! :o
going to the gap again my self give me a date so i can plan the trip
east coast gathering sounds good :thumb:
Maybe you could web feed it so all the boys in OZ can join in LOL  :thumb:
Live webcast of The Dragon, eh? Give me the equipment and I will, then!
