Title: time to move on...
Post by: calamari on January 27, 2006, 02:29:42 PM
i think I need to change or simply not have a gf.

I've been unemployed for a week now and she's already upset at me for staying at home and not looking for a job yet... even when I still have 3 more paychecks coming for the next 2 months.

problem is, I am looking for a job, but something specific in what I have experience (multimedia, video and that kind of thing), and the only reason I'm looking for that kind of job is because hopefully that way I can eventually get a work sponsorship from the company I work for (that's why the job has to be on my field of experience).

thanks to USCIS (immigration), I only have 1 year left in the US, so that doesn't help either.

so the legion of who-knows-what in france takes people from any country without burocratic bs?  8)

tell me about it. it appears that still paying for some groceries, pre-preparing a bit of lunch/dinner and having more time to give her massages and cleaning is not enough to justify me being around the house.

anyway. is someone's hiring... I can punch buttons on the keyboard and stuff  8)

Eh, I just broke up with my girlfriend today.

I think I've come to the conclusion that all, and I mean all, chicks are whack.

A woman once told me that if all men entered into all relationships knowing that all women are psychopaths, we'd all be better off.

Sorry about your break up, Alpha.

As far as the conclusion that all of us chicks are whacked. Well.....my bf figured that out LONG ago, and it's served us both well! He has no expectations that I'll be sane, and I don't disappoint him!  :icon_lol:  O0

It's not that big of a deal, she just let tiny problems and annoyances turn into big annoyances (to her, at least). She gets tired of people really quickly and basically didn't enjoy spending time with me anymore. She was used to being single (I was her first boyfriend) so she didn't like having to divide her time into a boyfriend who wanted to see her and other stuff. I kept trying to work stuff out, but she just didn't care. Kinda treated me like I was nothing and I got tired of that so I ended it.

It's all good now though. I'm spending time with my friend Alyssa... who is turning out to be scarily compatible with me. My roommate kept telling me she was, but I didn't believe him. Now I am starting to see what he's talking about...

But seriously. Chicks are whack. I dare any woman on this board, including the wives/girlfriends of the guys on here, to prove me otherwise.

Nope.  Girls are nuts.  You sure have my vote on that.   :thumb:

Good. There's no reason to put up with ANYONE not treating us well.  :icon_mrgreen:

Fortunately, none of us needs to prove anything to anyone. Even if we tried, it would be like trying to convince a young squid NOT to buy that Gixxer!  :flipoff:

You might prefer chicks who haven't been indoctrinated by an American university or college system--where they tend to pick up a really crap attitude--like that most males should just stick to homo sex and be done with the female species.  These are the ones flocking to see Brokeback Mountain--the progressive ideal of perfect harmony.  :icon_rolleyes:

You'll find good women in smalltown USA.  You find them in the aisles of Walmart, working at fast-food chains or the local Chevron station.  They are warmer than their more affluent sisters and usually better looking too.  :thumb:

But don't overlook the slightly overweight; these can be viewed as "fixxer uppers."  Better nutrition, excercise, clean living and the results will be better than Jake Gyllenhaal in every case!  :icon_razz:

Better yet, perhaps a chick from a third-world country? She might be so grateful to have something to eat that she might not give you any lip like us spoiled American chicks (especially us "more affluent" ones ).

Ay carrumba. Some boys were born WAY past their natural centuries and REALLY need to work on their self esteem. :icon_rolleyes:

I think Gisser makes some good points.  :thumb:

He basically just said that some guys need to consider a different type of girl than the typical high-maintenance "sex and the city special". The "girl next door" kind of girls are the ones to love, cherish, admire, and marry.

Yes AJ - your girl is all of those things, I am sure. She is likely the kind of girl that Gisser is reffering to? Who knows. My Kim is the same way; a sweet, good-hearted, loyal, beautful girl whom I love more than anything. However, I've dated a lot of girls - and 99.9% of them ARE whacked. They have more emotional baggage than most guys could ever even comprehend. A lot of girls are sneaky, manipulative, over-dramatic, and just plain boring anywhere outside of the bedroom. Beyond their flashy good looks, they have no substance of their own so they need to create drama in order to have something to talk about. They are good for one thing really; do what you gotta do and be gone before daylight.  :dunno_white:  :icon_razz:

Not all girls are like that, of course. Just like not all guys are insensitive, immature, and uncaring. You can't judge everyone based on their gender, everyone is their own individual person.

I read a saying once that said:

"Women and cats will do as they please, and Men and dogs need to learn to accept this"

That might be YOUR mature, educated take on his words, Phae, but if that's what he meant, he wouldn't have called a certain class of women "fixer uppers." Either you're adorably naive, or you're trying in your own way to stir the pot as much as he!  :icon_razz: :cookoo:
