Title: 94 gs
Post by: yamahonkawazuki on January 27, 2006, 10:33:28 PM
i had posted in o&e about a boineyard gs that i had picked up, heres my issue. i had posted about no activity when starter depressed, i figured hmmm must be the clutch switch, sure enough, it turns over now, tanks kinda rusty, so i didnt put fuel in it, i instead put a squirt of wd-40 into plug hole, lol dont laugh thats how i got frankenbike started, most of the old school crew here remembers that one, k i tried to start again. nothing turning over but nothing. i had a spare plug so i plugged 1 wire into it. got spark. not sure  if hot enough spark tho. im too drunk to think straight now, anuyone have any ideas as to what to look at next or what i might have over looked? thanks ahead of time :thumb:

cmon any ideas, im runnin out here. tried gas tried wd40 neither one would light it. its getting spark etc, but nothing fwiw is got the v&h full system on it, but i dont think that would prevent it from lighting. also new plugs and they do make spark  O0

Can you bump start it? And using fuel never hurt.

you might check and see if the timing has been advanced.  If it has it might need a little hotter plug.  Not to much experience with bikes in that dept but i know the cars i have done it to did need a little hotter plug to run smoother.
