Title: Will a clutch cable and brake line from a '04 work on a '93
Post by: Bluebellylint on January 29, 2006, 03:05:49 PM
HI, I'm looking at getting those 2004 right and left controls off eBay. dose anyone know if the clutch cable and the brake line will connect just fine to my '93 bike? I know the throttle cable wont work quite right because the '04 has two cables and the '93 has one but I think I will be able to mix and mach parts with by old controls for that. If anyone has had experience with this I would love to know. :dunno_white:
ThanX

I know the brake line will work because I used my old SS line from my '92 on the '04 and it worked fine. The clutch line should work as well, as nothing was changed, as far as I know. As for the throttle, the single cable will actually work in the '04 controls. The old throttle tubes (the white plastic sleeves) had 2 holes in them for dual lcable useage, but the end point on the carbs was only set up for one. All you have to do is run one cable off the new controls and it should work.

The throttle cables come with the controls? Nice deal. And you've got a spare, just in case!
