How do I add pictures and text to my profile?
Beats me!
Click the "Profile" button, then add it in the "Signiture" area in the same way you would a normal post.

That was
hilarious!
(I don't have speakers. . . what does it say???)
Okay, new guy, since I feel like a d*ck, I'll give you the scoop:
To add an avatar and a signature, you need to click on the Profile button above. Then on the left you'll see "Modify Profile". Under that you can click on "Forum Profile Information."
You can add a signature of your choosing at the bottom. I never change mine, so I really don't know much about it.
You can also post a link to an avatar. Save your avatar with a hosting site (google "avatar hosting"). Save it there and paste the URL in the Forum Profile Information blank after clicking on I have my own URL.
To add pictures, you need to host your photos somewhere, usually at like www.photobucket.com. Then when you download the photos to photobucket, save the URL by right clicking. Then come back to GStwin and post them by clicking the insert image url button above and then paste the url and then click the insert image url button again. It is the button right under the italics I button, above.
Good luck bro. Welcome to never never work land!

Good looking out Jake D.
Looks like you're up to speed. It only took me two years to figure that stuff out.
