Title: what weighs 13.5 pounds and is anatomically correct?
Post by: Maduro Mistress on February 04, 2006, 09:08:18 AM
My new LEATHERS baby!!!!

Just picked them up yesterday - full 1 piece Alpinestar suit. I wore them home yesterday from the store that's 2 hours from my house - comfy as hell! I can't WAIT to get them on my bike... now if it would only stop snowing!!!

they're okay on - you don't feel the weight at all, it's just trying to get them OFF over your legs :) lol

If you consider armor, zippers, stitching and the fact that cow skin (or is it roo skin??) is way heavier than cloth, 13.5 is to be expected.

Now MM, you just need to get a great action shot of you all leathered up on your GS. The yellow would make a great shot in contrast to the snow. Wait for the next Canadian front to blow down and take some shots on the clear side of the weather.

Just do it wetsuit style....fold the suit off of you sorta inside out....then have a friend pull on the arms...peeling it off you like a banana  :)

on a SERIOUS note, I can't find a single pair of boots that will go over the sewn in shin protectors!!!! Is it uncool to wear your boots under your leathers?

Uncool?  Nah...As long as you are protected you're cool in my book.  What boots do you have/have you tried?  My Vertebra 2's fit fine over leathers (w/o shin stuff) but they have an adjustable cuff.  I've heard that Daytona's are pretty good for that but I'm buzzed and I might be full of crap.  Hehe Just wear the leathers to the store and try on all the boots they have :icon_twisted: :cookoo:.

have the Alpinestars SMX boots - Sidi's don't even fit my feet for crap, let alone my calves, then you add the leather in there... There's a pair of Dainese ones I like, but they have no support - oh well, the motorcycle show in Chi is this weekend - maybe I'll find something there?
