I've got my bike all booked in for it's 36k km service, clutch and steering head bearing check ($$$$ :() next week, and hopefully it'll be in one piece again by the weekend of the 25th. So I was wondering if any of you guys were up for a ride down to Kangaroo Valley for lunch at the pub? Any particular day you guys are free on? Saturday or Sunday, weekend of the 25th or the week after?
Probable route will be the RNP, Mount Keira (possibly), Maquarie Pass, Kangaroo Valley. Then either the reverse way back, or via Kiama? Suggestions?
Sounds good I'll check that weekend and let you know :thumb:
36000k wow thats pretty good :o
Bike had 17k on it when I bought it in 2004, would have alot more mileage on it if I hadn't been sick for 11 months of last year :S
Anyone able to recommend a suspension place for some racetech/eibach fork springs?? They're next on my list when I get a job and an income again.
I might be a in for that weekend (24 or 25) I would proable meet you guys around the pie shop or Albion Park Maccas
all the best matt:) your friend
Safe riding

Where abouts are you? are you going to do it yourself or have a workshop do it for you? :thumb:
I'm down south in the Sutho Shire, dont really have access to tools myself, but might be able to find someone to give me a hand, otherwise a workshop stop over is on the cards.
Dropped the bike in for a service last night, new metal clutch plates (old ones were @#$%), 36k km service, new steering head bearing, brake line bleed and the mech said a new tyre in 1-2k km is in order (I already knew that). The bike should run alot better when I get it back.
Just need an income then new springs here we come!
PS: TAFE is boooooring.
cant say I know any suspension places your way most of the ones I know are out west but I'll ask around, are we all still keen for a ride next week? :thumb:
Weather and health permitting I'm still up for a ride down south
Would everyone be happy with a saturday run? :thumb:
Picking the bike up tomorrow morning, and have SFA to do till Monday, so any day's fine with me.

I've dodgied up a map for the proposed route;

Looked like a great day. I'll be down that way on the first of April. The local bikeshop is organising an overnight run down to Nowra.
Meet at the bike shop Saturday morn for a bacon & egg barbie. Head down to Nowra, get on the piss & stay o/night then head back home Sunday :thumb:
Hahaha I look like a giant in those photos :o
LukeWarm, pity there was so much traffic on the Pass, regardless of how good the quality turned out to be, too many cars in it for my liking
AHH CRAP ,i havn't loged on here in a while ,as it was abit quiet here lately.
I sat at home all saterday wishing there was a ride on
Looks like you guys had a great day out.
I went to a group ride on sunday with some bigger bikes and got left behind and lost, i missed a turn off.
SPEWING i missed this ride .
Brembo ,that map is great ,im going to copy it so if i go on a ride down there i won't get lost.
Do you have a website for it ,or do you need to buy a computer program???? :thumb:
 Sled.
Matt I forgot to mention when you put the disk in a DVD player dont press play just press 1 on the number pad and that should allow you to play it I had the same prob originally and it turned out the menu is controlled by the number pad so give that a try.
Brembo yeah its got a lot of car footage but when I took off theres only one car in the rest of the footage I'll see if I can post it on the web for you to see if you like it I'll fix up a disk for you, and if you look like a giant then I am a Hobbit.
Sleddog you need to keep checking the post at least once a week so as not to miss out again :thumb:
Bubba what bike shop is it you will be at and did you find out any more about the Bathurst historical musuem dates? :thumb:
The shop were leaving from is Great Western Motorcycles. They mostly do servicing & sell parts.
The Greg Hansford exhibit is going to be on for a few more months. The woman I spoke also mention about a Yamahahahaha thing thats on for the rest of the year.
Western Motorcycles parts and bikes are resonable prices plus they were the only shop that had ventura racks and bags in stock for the GS I test rode an old GSXR 1100 there that was fun although with 85000ks it felt tired but it seems its a good shop although doubtful I could make it out there next weekend.
Good to hear the exhibtion is for a little while longer I let you know when I'm heading up that way for it or maybe we can arrange a run up there with everyone :thumb:
The run to Nowra is the 1st April.
They're a pretty good shop & dont treat you like a leper just cause you dont ride a litre squid bike. :thumb:
If we could get a few more GSers to head up & make a day of it, that'd be good.

I stole those maps off the ocau forums (not ocau.mc), but they come from Garmin City Navigator iirc, costs a coupla hundred by itself, or comes free with some higher end Garmin GPS units.
