Where are you at?
Um, where are you? You can't order the parts online like most people? I couldn't find anything local for my exhaust for my GS, either. That is why they made the Internet :thumb:

Try using punctuation, that is tough to read. And as for installing a 4 cylinder exhaust on a 2 cylinder motor....sounds like some custom fab work.
im not talking about the holle exhaus. Im talking about a slip on i just want to change the sound of the bike.
Take a look at this.

Drilling holes in your stock exhaust pipe is what some people are doing to lessen the "lawnmower" sound.
Is that how-to compatible with a 2005?
i think it sounds like poo .. i say save a little money and by a slipon or get an exaust you like and have a muffler shop fab it for your bike . ( or do it your self if you know how
What about this mod? http://gstwins.com/gsboard/index.php?topic=4377.msg34742#msg34742

thanks for the tips guys :thumb: i think im goin to try to do some holes in the muffler so i can get a decent noise well i never thought of that how stupid am i lol
You can buy almost any slip on you like and have a muffler shop fab a "mid pipe" for it. Take a look what Boss500 did to his bike. He took the Yoshi tri oval slip on for an R6 then had Mienekee? ( Not sure on the spelling there) make the pipe connecting the muffler to the headers. Pic's are on this forum somewhere.
if i would be to drill the exhaust holes i was just thinking should i take it of the bike to be safe or is it ok to leave it on ?
You shouldn't have any problems doing the drilling with the exhaust mounted on the bike, as long as you're careful. Look at it this way; the exhaust is already in the mounted position. If you remove it, you'll probably have to wrestle with it at oddball angles, and it might not look right when you try to remount it.
One suggestion; mark the places you want to drill on the end of the exhaust with Wite-Out or chalk BEFORE you begin. Use a centerpunch to mark the EXACT places you want to start drilling, and be SURE to use proper eye protection! Your eyes are too valuable to risk scratches on the corneas, or worse...
