+1 on the MSF. It's definitely worth every bit.
I've taken it (I couldn't afford the MSF course at the time). The test was actually pretty tough - I was pleasantly surprised. You do the lolipop thing. weave down, two loops trying to keep the rear wheel inside the two circles, come back. on the other side... Then a "get into 3rd gear" and brake deal.
I was VERY sick the morning that I took it but I had waited for the appt forever so I rode sick and it was a challenge. I can't imagine taking it on a Harley or something long like that. If you could, I would recommend you take it on a dual purpose bike - that would be easiest though the GS is a good one too.
I haven't taken it lately, but I really don't think it has changed. Search BayAreaRidersForum.com
But, MSF is the best thing that has ever happened (to me).
wow .. see thats why i like texas :) state trooper tells you where to go . and you take the route he has told you ( you have to provide another car and a driver ) then you ride.. no cones no nothing .. you just take a loop around the block like you would if you where taking a driving test in a car .. just not with the state trooper on the back of the bike with you :icon_lol: :icon_lol:
