Title: Removing rear fender.
Post by: annguyen1981 on February 11, 2006, 05:21:45 PM
What is the easiest and quickest way?  I want to remove the whole thing and possibly paint it after a fenderectomy

Can't remember all the details but it's very easy. There should be about 2 or three bolts from underneath to get too. You'll need to unplug the turn signals from the wiring harness. The rear wheel doesn't need to be removed so that will save a lot of time. Someone else should chime in shortly.

Do you remember if I need to remove the rear panels in order to remove the fender, or should I be able to just manipulate the fender out?

It seems like I had to pull the rear panels. Theres only one bolt on each one and some pull tabs so that's not going to be too much more trouble.
