Yeah, did you see the stupid American who got bit in the ass trying to be a showoff.  Makes us all look like cocky idiots.  :nono:

Yes.  My wife and I are certainly disappointed.  But, not surprised.

My problem with this is that if she hadn't fell it would have been a "great moment in sports"
yes she was celebrating, but we rever those who showboat with highlight reels and posters and cereal boxes and such.
This is just something that the media is having a field day with because nothing exciting happened in ice dancing. Snowingboarding is an extreme sport, where the popularit and prestige come from being a better showman than the next. No one is rasing hell over the way that the US women's downhill team dressed (a tiara and mardi gras beads) and then performend horribly. It's being taken way past where it show me IMO

Yup....would have been one of those photo moments that would be splashed all over the papers. But I'll bet that little stroke of bad luck taught her a good lesson (and perhaps a little humility). She's a great athlete, and I wouldn't be surprised at all if she takes the next olympic's gold in snowboard cross. :thumb:

And...hey....that Italian couple in ice dancing who came in first last night...they were GREAT...that was exciting!  ;)
