I just took my GS out for my very first ride! I got both cylinders firing, and even though I don't have insurance or tags (waiting for the title) and a crappy chain (rusted from sitting), I went up and down a dead-end stretch of road right by my apartment complex that is (generously) about 1/3 mile. The chain got lubed when I changed my tires, so I figured/hoped it would be okay for the mile or so I planned on riding. Well, 5 miles later, I finally decided that I'd pushed it far enough, but that was so much fun! It's the most fun I've ever had with my pants on!
Be careful with that chain. f it were to snap a fast moving broken chain could rip up a lot of stufff down there, not to metion taking out your leg and probably causing you to drop her.
On a positive note, glad you got to rideĀ :icon_mrgreen:
right on! I can't wait till mine is up and running too.

Yeah, I know, but I gave into temptation. I have a new chain, but I didn't get sprockets. I looked at mine, and they looked barely worn, but on closer inspection, I want new ones, so I haven't changed the chain yet.
