Title: need a good engine/bike cleaner...
Post by: ninja_steve on February 21, 2006, 01:23:21 PM
i have been riding in the rain the past couple weeks ALOT and my bike has a lovely white film over everything.  i am more worried about the engine since it has gotten really grimey, and all purpose degreasers havent done anything.  anyone have any suggestions?  i tried S100 and the stuff didnt work too well  :dunno_white:

Try soap, warm water and a brush.

^except for in the vacinity of soft (and some hard) composit compounds...which simple green contaminates and corrodes.

i bought a pump spray bottle nd fill it w/ a 1/2 water 1/2 simple green solution. i start by spraying the bike down and then going @ it w/ a brush or rag. Dont let it sit too long tho simple green could do some damnage if it dried, maybe not, i'm not gonna find out on my bike tho. I've just done the spray and hosed it off b 4 and it looks like i washed it.  :icon_razz:good stuff.
