Post by: Egaeus on February 23, 2006, 05:54:53 PM
but could someone please change "your" to "you're" under the Odds and Ends link on the main page?  It makes my OCD twitch. :)

I've wanted to say something about this, but my secret need to be normal-like took control over my inner perfectionist.

How very pedestrian of you...don't you know that there's a one-day grammar ban for ped-antics!?  :cookoo: :icon_razz: :icon_mrgreen:

Well I'm okay then, since I'm being pedantic, not pendantic.  :icon_mrgreen:

I'm beginning to wonder if they've lost interest in the website altogether.  There are numerous broken links and small issues on the main page.  I can't blame them for burnout though.  I've had my share.

The GSTwin God goes to school full time, works full time, and donates some of what little time he has left to GSTwin. He spent his school break going without sleep for about a week (as did other admins  :kiss3:) to transfer the old site to the new one. :kiss3:

He "hired" more of us to help with the site.

I would say that the GSTwin God has given enough of his blood and sweat to last a while, and that the world isn't going to end over a small grammar error on one page, nor does it indicate any lack of due diligence on the part of he who so generously gives us this site.

This post should contain enough lovely grammar in it to calm your ped-antics for quite a while (or so I would hope).  :icon_rolleyes:

Yeesh....and I thought *I* was  :cookoo: about proper grammar. Glad to see that I'm more normal that I've given myself credit for!  :icon_lol: :icon_razz: :icon_mrgreen:

no apology necessary Egaeus. This site has been through its share of servers and hosts in the last couple years and has caused many of the broken links you mention. Its not possible to fix teh links at all. In fact, it was only recently that the gallery was back online. it IS back, isnt it?

Anyway, we all do our best and the GSTWIN god, John does his very best. I give him big kudos in particular because its been YEARS since he or his wife have had gs500's, yet he still maintains this site.

No offense taken, and dont let that stop you from pointing out other things around here that need fixin'...we'll just keep adding them to the list and give them relative importance.

Move along. Nothing to see here....

Well, it all of a sudden got a bit hot in here, so I wanted to make sure.  You guys are a pretty decent bunch as far as I can tell, so I didn't want to piss the board off or anything, especially with a less-than-half serious thread.  Notice that I've stayed away from politics unless it's motorcycle-related for that very reason.  Not that I'd offend most of the board, but I'd still rather not have Ed in AZ and Old Man Wilson calling for my bannination.  ;)

I'm not going to say that I checked for the Wall of Fame and it still said File not Found.  :)

That's the best custom title you guys could give him?

I think "Spell Check Nazi" would be more fitting.
