My choke started sticking a bit about a year ago. I've been lubing it with Lock-Ease (a spray like WD-40, but graphite based). Now that it's cold out, I'm finding that the only way I can set the choke in the morning, is to push on the carburetor-mounted choke lever, while pushing on the handlebar-mounted choke lever. What works best, is to set the choke when I park the bike, when the cable is warm.
Do I have some kind of goo in my choke cable? Are there any good cable lubricants for winter use?
Have you tried real cable lubricant? The kind with the dealy that you put on the end to force the lube into the cable?
Is the lever, the metal slide or the cable sticking? Or, is it just the plungers?
