Title: A new exhaust...
Post by: makenzie71 on March 01, 2006, 07:53:09 PM
Someone's already spoken up to be the guinea pig but I haen't heard back yet...the first person to come through for me gets rights to the first system for the cost of parts and a stock exhaust.

First thing up is that I need a full exhaust.  Can be either an E or and F, I just need it to make a jig.  Everything from the ports to the muffler tip must be straight and true.  There are specific prep details that will need to be addressed prior to removing the exhaust so if you would like to volunteer, be sure to contact me before hand.

The deal is that in exchange for the stock exhaust and $70 US to cover parts, material and shop time I will send you a full ready to bolt on mandrel exhaust (1~2 week exchange time).

The new exhaust will be built with budget-minded customers and performance in mind.  Materials will range from stainless steel to aliminized steel, the can will be easily repackable and carbon fiber. It will be a large-diameter exhaust and will require appropriate jetting.

After initial results are back, exhausts will be sold one at a time at a rate of $250 + header exchange.

Who's interested?

Well I have a full exhaust system, actually two. One stock, one full Vance & Hines. I would be willing to work with you and help ya out, but there are probably people closer to you that would be able to do the same. The only problem I have, is that I'm not willing to chop my Vance and Hines system, so it would have to be returned to me in full, if you want to use it. Let me know.

I'd be willing to let you chop the stock system, just not the Vance & Hines one.

That'd be a must as parts of it would be used.

Hopefully if someone close by can play guinea pig then I can just tell everyone what to cut off the stock pipes and send my way.
