I have personally tried as hard as I could to model my life into an amalgamation of the following "animated action shows":
Robotech
Swat Kats
Thundercats
Beast Wars
Voltron
Transformers
and my all time favorite:
CENTURIONS
Yours?
And yes, before you ask, some friends and I were a bit drunk when we started talking about old tv shows from our not so distant childhoods, and it made me want to post the question on here
(I'm sure some of y'alls will be some of my other favorites, I just forgot their names)
Not even gonna bother with a list...you got it covered...
You missed BraveStar, though.
Tick should also be up there. And all the Gundam series'...especially the original series...
tom&jerry
flintstones
wile coyote&roadrunner (cant remember name of toons tho)
all of the bugs bunny daffy duck elmer fudd etc, from way back ;) :icon_mrgreen:
Wiley Coyote and Roadrunner...
Looney Tunes were great for about 10 minutes...then they got old and boring...the only one worth a damn was about a bull dog trying to sleep while a rooster kept crowing outside...the dog like grabbed the rooster and he crowed, so he stuck him under a wooden box and the rooster stuck his head out a knot-hole and crowed so he nailed a board over the knot hole and the rooster stuck his hear out a knot hole in the board that was like hanging over thin air...it's so random and the greatest 5 minute skit EVER.
TMNT (teenage mutant ninja turtles)
smurfs :cookoo:
care bears :icon_lol:
bionic 6
Definitely Voltron for me... Nothing else
Freakazoid and Animaniacs.

. imo the only ones they got boring for were the ones with either no sense of humour, or i dunno lol, i miss those days
monotonous is all...any 10 minutes was gold, but beyond that my puny intellect needed to see something with a plot.
SWAT CATS! I haven't watched that in so long.. wish it was still on!
He-Man and Thundercats
GeForce
Thundercats
He-Man
Voltron
GI Joe
Robotech
Transformers
Now I like watching anime's.
and Gummi Bears, Ducktales, and TaleSpin.

Early childhood Wiley Coyote.
Middle childhood Animaniacs.
Late childhood, Futurama, Simpsons.
Current childhood, Southpark.
"Katzenjammer Kids"
THUNDER ...THUNDER ....THUNDER ....CATS!!!! then HE-man came on. Voltron was a fave too. Gijoe. Transformers.
My thing was USA Cartoon. Mr. T and those gymnists. munchee chees. shirt tales. smurfs. (my little pony)shh don't tell. it was my sister she was older and made me whatch it. and carebears and strawberry shortcake.
carebear cousins. also. I guess thats why I am such a homophobe. those girl cartoons do somethin to the male psyche.
TMNT was so lame in Junior high. (but we all watched it secretly) along with rescue rangers, tales spin., Animaniacs
In high school I was still into muppet babies.
toons are cool. to bad they suck when your older and have to watch them with your kids.
Never watched much muppet babies but Muppets Tonight wasthe absolute shaZam!! I still watch recorded episodes...
Duck Tails was sweet. GI Joe. Smurfs. I liked He-Man a lot. Transformers (movie coming out soon).
Also I liked the one with the super heros on it. League of Super Heros or Superfriends or something.
nothing beats ADULT SWIM for KICK ASS toons.
I can't believe nobody's mentioned "Danger Mouse"!
jeff
Oh I almost forgot.... JEM!!!!!!!
Speed Racer!
Inspector Gadget anyone?.
Silver Hawks :thumb:
Lots of good shows mentioned so far. Why don't these come out on DVD so we can all relive our childhood?
Am I the only one who remembers Exo-Squad?
-James
Kimba the White Lion
Speed Racer
G-Force
Looney-toons
Starblazers
Robotech
Voltron
He-man
Thundercats (vaguely)
Transformers
Johnny Quest (the original series w/lasers; hydrofoils; vertical lift-off jets; gargoyles; UFO's; India mysticism; voodoo; judo; Komodo dragons; Black Lagoon-type creature; jet packs!) :thumb:
Teenage Mutant Ninja TURTLES!!! my favorite by far.
and voltron, He-Man, and others already mentioned.
arcsecond...exosquad was from the same bunch who did Mechwarrior...who happen to be associated with the people who did Robotech and Macross (an association that nd so badly :( ).
Example:
Robotech/Macross Glaug Battle/Officer's Pod
(http://www.artemisgames.com/robotech/images/offcrpod.jpg)
Mechwarrior Marauder Heavy Assault Mech
(http://www.lanceradvanced.com/Models/Images/Marauder.jpg)
Exo-Squad Assault Frame (also known as a Glaug Pod)
Anyone who is a fan of one series is automatically a fan of all four...lol...
Thanks Gisser,
Forgot Johnny Quest, possibly to be replaced by Venture Bros on Adult Swim.
+1 for Johnny Quest. Dig the wild characters -- Haji, "Race" Bannon, Dr. Quest, and the ever present "Bandit" the dog. And what about all the great machines, boats, planes, cars and explosions. Loved the sinister laughs, especially before they got their butts kicked. I don't recall any women characters. I must have been pre-puberty.
Robotech
Transformers
GI Joe
Dungeons and Dragons
Johnny Socko's Robot (sp) (Not sure if this was a cartoon, but it was really cool at the time.)
Ultraman (Not sure if this was a cartoon either...)
