Anybody have a measurment of the overall height of an SV (for shipping purposes)
Hi there,
You're right.
That is a dumb question.
Figure it's less than five feet tall.
Definitely less than a building.
yours,
Todd
:)
Okay, let's narrow it down a little... will it fit in the back of an '02 Windstar for a 10 hour drive?
On another thread somewhere hidden here, there was the same topic about putting a GS into a minivan or something similar.
I guess you can compress the front forks to shorten the front end. (ratchet ties I think)
okay, found it. 46.1 inches

Hi there,
You should have asked about fitting it into the van in your first post, then we could have been more helpful.
Let us know how it goes.
Why aren't you RIDING the bike those 10 hours, though?
You're not one of those wimps who is going to Daytona but HAULING his bike are you?
If you're going to Daytona, then you should RIDE to Daytona.
Big babies.
:)
Yours,
Todd
you guys are harsh.
another way to find out if it fits that specific van is to ask over at svriders.com and socalsvriders.com. I bet one of them has tried it...

Found a good deal on a crashed SV1000S Not street legal... Not a big baby...
But I've posted my "big baby" in the for sale section... anyone interested in a GSXR1100?
