Why do some people type their email address all funny:
NAME at DOMAIN dot COM
Instead of NAME@DOMAIN.COM
Not to be an a**hole to those who do... I just want to know why. I aminly see this in junk emails, mostly so scanning software doesn't recognize that it's an email address.
I think it also has to do with scammers- I know a bunch of them use software that extracts E-mails from places like craigslist, forums, other misc. websites to target their spam mail. I worked with a company that used extraction software on certain market sites to get addresses for mailouts. It would be damn near impossible for the people who write "Name at Dot Com" to be on those lists.
Makes sense. Thankz! :thumb:
Casi nailed it. Spambots don't pick me up that way, cuz I already get enough of that crap..
