Does anyone know why spam emails have gibberish at the end? (see example below)

spam is terrifying so I guess spammers are terrorists.

The real answer is to try and fool email filtering programs that identify spam by the percentage of spam-related keywords to the overall length of the message. Adding all that gibberish at the bottom makes the filter think it's a real email.
