Finally got to take out the bike last night for a good solid ride around town. What an awesome bike! Lots of fun to ride. I had a hard time finally going home to get some sleep for work this morning. By the way it's a 97 w/8900 miles, the only mods are exhaust, k&n air filter and it's been jetted. Thats probably all I'll do for the motor for a while, mainly just want to clean up the look of the bike(turn signals, mirrors, and removal of some of the stickers are first on the list). But the bike runs like a champ and I'm now a very proud owner :cheers:

If everything goes as planned, my first ride will be on Saturday, but that's probably only gonna be to a parking lot to get used to the bike (I still only have my learner's permit and my dad's bike has been sitting since August). Still, that's good enough for me for the time being. I can't wait until I get my full license...gonna be a great summer :)

went for my first real ride this morning also...even got on 395/495...man was it windy. only put around 30 miles or so but it was still awesome.
Congratulations!!!! I remember last July when I just got my F. I loved it as well and am very happy that I bought it instead of the otehr bikes I was looking at.

Luckily the weather in FL is real nice right now with highs in the mid 70's and pretty sunny. Florida has some really good days but the storms can be BAD inthe early summer time. That's one thing I'm not looking forward to, the weatherman says everything is fine and then I get nailed with thunderstorms. Very unpredictable here...but that's life :cheers:
