I put on dragbars on my '91 GS and now my choke cables seems too short.
I managed to attach the cable to the lever, but now the lever seems to be stuck in the up position and will not go down.
Anyone know what the deal is?
I put drag bars on my bike but it made all the cables seem longer. I dont know what you did there. :dunno_white:
how can putting lower bars on, make the cables too short? its probably just a routing problem. follow the cable down, and see if there's a shorter way to rout it.
OOh, looks like I messed up good.
The choke cable popped out of the metal housing and now it won't operate the choke at all.
Looks like I'm going to have to get the tank off and try to pop it back in.
Anyone know of an easier way of doing that?
nope...gotta pull the tank. It's not that hard to do.
And all you're facing is a simple routing issue. With the tank off and all the cables loose you'll be able to string them out propperly...some might actually be too long, now.
Ok, after taking the tank off I've got my handlebars mounted (great logic, there) and most things seems to fit ok.
BUT, it seems my throtle cable is misrouted. When I turn the bars Right, the throtle opens up like crazy.
Is there an obvious solution to this, besides poking at it till it works?
