Various GS500 specs state about 32 inches is the overall width.
Is this handle bar width? or mirror to mirror?
I have a free secluded parking spot below my apartment, but to get to it I would have to somehow walk a bike through a 34 inch wide gap. Inconvenience yes, and dangerous too (cosmetic damage to bike) but right now I have no choice. Otherwise it's on a busy downtown street.
I get mine through a 36 inch door. It will fit through the 34, turn your mirrors in, take your time and sit on the bike..watch your legs and the bars but its not bad, just take your time. Takes a little extra time but its worth it :thumb:
Well I know you cant get Napoleon bar-ends now they make my bike 39" wide :cry:
But the mirrors are awesome
