Title: Whoa! Aussie GS500 people
Post by: visionthing on March 14, 2006, 06:30:02 PM
I didn't know you all existed!

Anyway, I'll introduce myself. I'm Bruce I'm 33 and live in Melbourne. My license is NSW, so I've got a 2001 GS500 as my first bike. This month, i celebrate my unrestricted license and instead of swapping out the GS, I'll hold onto it for a bit and just get a better position out of it (clip-ons) and I just bought a sports can($350!) which will be fitted next week.

If anyone is in Melb, or nearby and want a riding partner, give me a yell

Cheers

Bruce

Hi Bruce,
Glad to have you onboard I've been on my full licence now for about 4 years and I'm still not tired of my GS yet, more power would be nice but I'm happy and no point in stepping up if you cant use what you've got thats my thought but at 37 next month maybe I'm just getting old (matt does it show in my riding?)
What sought of can did you get for the GS?
Anyway good to have more aussies on board the more we get the better chance of a OZ GS get together.
I'll hopefully be heading down your way for the GP later in the year (mmmm that may be a good place for a OZ GS get together in the future it would look good if we could muster up 20+ GS's for a get together and muscle out all the other brands and models  :thumb:

Hello there peoples. You have another Aussie on board(well a kiwi who is posing as an Aussie) I live in Sydney and have just recently bought a new(only had 5kms when delivered)(now only 150kms)GS500f and owned it for just over a week. LOVE it.
I must admit that I am a virgin on two wheels and am taking it slow, but so far it is a real rush.
