Title: Clubman handlebars
Post by: neilson on March 16, 2006, 09:34:36 AM
I've done a search and found lots of topics covering this issue but none that give specific names of companies or sites other than the SM bars.  I cant afford these but would like something similiar with a more aggressive feel than the stock ones.  The object here is cheap with little or no mods to get a good fit.  Thanks  :)

I got the bikemaster clubmans available from bike bandit.  They're not as low as the SM2's but they're lower than stock.  I like them okay so far, but I don't have much to compare with, and I haven't ridden for long distances.  They're less than $25 shipped.  You'll need to drill holes in the bars for the tabs on the switches, but this is easy as long as you have a centerpunch.

i've got some bars that i bought from the local bike shop to try and fit onto my GS... but coz i have the "F" model they hit the front windshield fairing..probably better for the naked bikes...

I bought these for $50AUD each, but will let them go for $20ea.. If anyone wants them, lemmie know.. i'll try and post some pics of them so you can see what they look like... :icon_lol:

the only ones i wanna keep is the original bars... the 2 bars in the middle didn't hit the tank when i tried fitting them, but they hit the windshield - so no good for me... the bottom ones (depending on how you position them) might make the horn/start button touch the tank... but doesn't touch when you lock the handlebars..

yeah they hit the fairing i guess.... but it's the part of the fairing where the windshield is...

ok to top chrome ones are 30in wide, approx. if you fit them flat, the end are approx. 3in lower from the middle (angled down/in like a sprots bike), the bar ends are forward approx. 4.5 - 5in from where you mount them.

the middle chrome ones are completely flat. approx 4in forward and approx. 30.5in wide....

hope this helps guys.... lemmie know if anyone's keen...
