RAR! it slightly annoys me when people put titles on their auctions that read " integra Supra 300zx rx7 integra turbo evo killa!" i search for a supra (i like the mk3) and i get an integra amoung other things. not a big deal, just slightly annoying. (same for when i'm searching for bikes)
i realize it is an effective method of exposing people to a vehicle you may be selling who did not originally consider that vehicle as an option. but it just ruffles my cape.
or like when supra's get listed as a v6, it's not. or a 3000gt gets listed as an inline 6, it's not. or when an rx7 gets listed as having an engine with pistons in it, it's full or rotary goodness.
just little things, nothing big
awwww...you must have ran out of things to rant about :kiss3:
The garbage in the auction titles on ebay is rather annoying. The abuse of meta information is frowned upon hugely, and i hope ebay does something about it soon.
Hopefully one day ebay will do the right thing and either make a better search criteria. Since ebay relies heavly on auction titles, the same retards who abused HTML meta tags in the late 90s, and early 2000s are now flocking to ebay to spam their garbage in auction titles.

The worst is when you're searching for an Ampeg amp and 400 Crate amps come up with "Not Ampeg" in the title...
:2guns:
BASTARDS!! No shaZam! it's NOT Ampeg!!! :icon_rolleyes:

They do have rules against this, I got zapped for doing this with a pair of sunglasses I was selling. I had seen others do it and figured it would be a good way to get more exposure for my obscurely branded sunglasses. After about a day my listing got cancelled and my listing fees were refunded. My guess is that they can't just can't catch all of these crap titles. Or they haven't gotten to them yet
item by item, report i believe its called spamming not for sure though
Yeah, thats it... I was thinking word spamming, but I finnaly found it on ebay: Keyword spamming (http://pages.ebay.com/help/policies/keyword-spam.html)
There is a link at the bottom of that page where you can report it if you like
yeah, i'm not too bothered by it, but the whole "kawasaki ninja, not suzuki not yamaha not honda" type thing is pretty lame.
kinda makes me wanna sell somthing like an old alternator and be like
"alternator for a 86-92 N/A supra, not underware not sailboat not aligators not rocketship not motorola"
(wow, i just checked, there is quite a bit of underware for sale on ebay, spooky.)
The thing I hate about ebay is when people make money off of shipping. Say you bid on something for $90 and then they tell you that the shipping is gonna be $80 on top of that. WTF!!!
Or the things like pocket bikes. Your winning bid can be for 1cent. But in the listing it says "$350 shipping fees and our local pick up shipping fee is only $199!!" If I pick up the item, how can there be a shipping charge?
But really, I love ebay! You can't beat the deals on used motorcycle parts. I got a front brake caliper, master cylinder and braided SS line for like $20. Just about every part I've bought for my bike so far has been from ebay.
Another peeve I have with ebay is there message system. I never seem to receive messages from anyone. I think I get maybe 1 of every 20 messages sent to me. And I don't know how many of the ones I send actually reach their destination. There has been stuff that I've won, that I couldn't pay for because I couldn't contact the seller for a shipping price.
