hey guys, my Neutral light won't come on in the dash, checked the bulb and it's fine, The bike goes into neutral line, just the light won't come on.
what could be wrong
thanks
It could be the neutral switch itself, the diode pack or any of the connections in the line.

Hmm.. does it start in neutral with the kickstand down? That would eliminate at least the switch, I think, and narrow it down to the light circuit.
Maybe the bulb just needs replacing?
If the bulb is good which you can check by connecting wires to it straight from the battery then it may be a damaged wire or the switch.
When we purchased out first GS, the neutral light didn't work. Fuse replaced; neutral worked! :kiss3: :icon_mrgreen:
hey guys, checked the bulb that is fine, the bike won't start if the kickstand is down. so that maybe means a bad wire??? wheres the fuse at for it??? Thanks

If the fuse is bad you won't get lights or horn. The fuse is located under the right plastic on the start relay.
Check the blue wire that runs from the diode module (a small black plastic part with three wires, located under the seat and behind the battery, on mine it's taped to the underside of the wiring harness that runs between the fender and brake reservoir) to the neutral switch that is located under the left side front sprocket cover.
