So I just lost all my bookmarks through Firefox. My wife opened up Word on my computer and linked to the microsoft templates site to get something, and after Firefox opened the microsoft templates webpage all but about 15 of my bookmarks were gone.
I've been searching everywhere and can't find them. I'm pissed and confused. Any help out there?

That happened to me once. But next time I opened Firefox everything magically reappeared.
If this is on a windows PC, then if the bookmarks are still there then they will be located under C:\Documents and Settings\'your profile'\Application Data\Mozilla\Profiles\default\'some directory ending with .slt'\
Within that folder there will be a bookmarks.htm.
If there are multiple listings under the profiles folder within the mozilla folder then that probably is why you don't see any of your bookmarks.
EASY WAY:
Search for all files and folders named "bookmarks.htm" or just "bookmarks" and all the ones that get returned look at them and the one that has the links that you set is your file. You can reimport it through the browser.
thanks for the info. I did exactly what nate said. There was an older version of my booksmarks there. But I had recently added a bunch of sites for potential research projects and everything was all gone. I was able to at least get back the majority of sites that I had bookmarked before. It was like it just decided to eat them.
