Have you sorted out the mis-fire yet jeff?
hey sledge
Yup i got i got it, it's the coil, ordered one today, 145$ canadian, but i called another place they said they might beable to get me a aftermarket one for 45 bucks hopefully, No fire coming from it at all. ohh well, just more time for me to clean it up i guess. hahaha, thanks for asking tho man.
talk to you again
I've got the "Lunchbox" filter you're talking about. You're going to have to rejet your bike in order to make it run properly, as it will be too lean. I enjoy the change in the intake noise (gives it a snarly type growl on acceleration) it gave and I can feel a stronger pull, but I need to get my jetting settings locked in with some dyno tuning.
hey guys, I never done rejetting before, is this expensive, and how hard is it to do??? I no how to work around things pretty good, just never done rejetting before, could you guys tell me what i have to get. thanks
Glad you got it sorted Jeff, remember the folks in here are always happy to help and offer advice.

Well, first off... what year model do you have? There are infinite threads on jetting information for each model, as well as numerous instructionals in the FAQ section. It's not difficult and not expensive if you do it yourself.
hehehe ya i can always tell that for sure. it's great to have a board like this, anyways, if i wanted a clamp on filter, what would i have to ask for, to rejet, any idea's???
it's a 1991 Gs500E. I never found any threads about rejetting. maybe i don't look in the right spots. how much would this cost?

...No. Why would you need to get a new exhaust? You can do filter only, just jet it accordingly.
