Title: MSF RiderCoach - Gary Karmazyn (NYC / LI area)
Post by: GS500F_n00b on March 22, 2006, 01:04:32 AM
If Gary Karmazyn is running any other business, I would report it as totally fraudulent. It would be prudent for the MSF to thoroughly investigate this business and make sure it is not intentionally disregarding its obligations to paying customers and fellow motorcyclists.

I was scheduled for the MSF Basic RiderCourse on Friday, March 17, 2006  -  Sunday, March 19, 2006  -  Fri 6pm-9pm, Sat 8am-6pm, Sun 1pm-6pm  -  at 2150 Hempstead Turnpike Elmont, NY 11003 with Gary Karmazyn as the instructor / speaker, but the session was canceled and no notice given, either through phone, e-mail, or postal mail. The security guard at the course location notified me of the cancellation on the day of the first session and I have not been able to contact Karmazyn since then. It has been six days and I have called every hour during business hours. He has not responded to e-mail inquiries either.

If anyone has any other methods of contacting Karmazyn, or have further information about him, any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time and concern regarding this post. Take care all.

I guess this shows my faith in people, but have you thought that maybe he's in the hospital or possibly even worse?

If you paid in advance by credit card, call your CC company and tell them what happened.   Should be no problem to get them to "reverse" the charge.       I doubt that he is just signing people up to take their money.   That kind of scheme doesn't last very long.    Maybe he had a family emergency and had to leave town.

Have you contacted the governing body for the MSF courses in your area? In California, the CHP is the first stop for complaints, and then they pass the complaints to someone who oversees the program.

Hopefully it isn't fraud and you're able to get this resolved.
