Title: Does anybody have a valve spring compressor I could borrow?
Post by: Mandres on March 23, 2006, 12:03:56 PM
I found the thread in the FAQ section but I don't have the right tools to cut and shape the pipe.  Does anyone have a spring compressor lying around I could borrow for few days.  I'll cover all shipping costs of course.

Thanks,

-M

I used an old spark plug socket and ground a channel just big enough to get to the keepers once commpressed. didnt even weld it to the Clamp but its a wise idea to have it done.

ok, the lever type that uses the rocker stud as the fulcrum point and compressed air in the cyl to hold the valves inplace will NOT work in this case. only the clamp type or home made / adapted clamp type will work.
