Title: Does anyone have this filter?

K&N filter for their f model

Does this need a rejet?

I had it on my F before I traded it for the lunchbox. It didn't require a rejet. Wait a while for me to dyno tune my bike with the lunchbox, then get one of them :) SO much nicer.

How much was the lunchbox?  And was it difficult to install?  Keep in mind that the most I've ever done to my bike was a valve cover gasket change (Saturday).

I have it too. It has been on the bike since my 1st service.
Does not require rejet (i still gotta learn what that is) as long as you use the air flow restrictor (included).

How does the filter sound with stock everything-else?

It sounds like a stock bike still; no intake sound change. I didn't have the restrictor on mine, and I still didn't require a rejet. I noticed no difference in performance with it in, or with the stock one in.

Not necessarily: only if you get the drop in. I don't think it's worth $50 though.

i would stay away from pod filter's man there not any better. if you get to go to the gap, have wheeler do a tune on the bike. he swears buy the drop in type, andhas the dyno sheet's to prove his work. drop ins made more power all the way till peak rpm.

Ummm... that's highly unlikely, as the airbox is a restrictive device in the upper RPMs. The pod/lunchbox filters breath better up top naturally by their design.

well they can, but the problem found by wheeler at the shop shows what cause's it, the legs on the side the bike block air flow. not all of it but slow the air flow and what not. but liek i said he has at least proven to me that although they can flow better there just not worth the time, for rejet and the loss of low end tq.
