Im at work right now and i wanted to go riding later on today but i just had something smash my left pinky. the nail is completely broken. Its just a matter off time before it falls off. A severely bruised EGO... after almost eating the hood of a car in a parking lot before the ride even started.  So far, I have been fortunate enough not to have had to ride under worse conditions than that.

Fractured kneecap.  I couldn't bend my leg more than 90 degrees, but I had to ride home my new bike (I also had to ride on the back of my freind's even sportier bike to get there)!

I fractured my kneecap when I lowsided my BICYCLE. Then I rode home 1 mile. Me knee swelled to the size of a giant black grapefruit. It was a hairline fracture, so I got no cast or anything, but it hurt like a Buddha Loves You for a long, long time.

Locked up my old SV's front brake and crashed to avoid stopped traffic on a bridge. Broke that stupid little bone in my left wrist. Bike couldn't shift and I barely had enough strenght in my hand to pull the clutch in. Limped home in 2nd gear...

I broke (as in crushed the end of my big toe's metatarsel) my foot running wide on an off ramp to avoid a schoolbus. Didn't crash, but kicked one of those "Bot's dots". Rode to the bar I was going to with my foot throbbing. Had a beer to kill the pain and rode home.

These were 5 years apart BTW.  :icon_rolleyes:

I crashed my cg125 slipping on the gravel going into the car park at work. I damaged my right thumb and fingers from the impact from the handle bar. The front wheel was out of allignment but I still rode it home using mainly back brake and using the palm of my hand to control the throttle.

While I was commuting to work one morning at 0-Dark thirty, something (never did know what) came flying at me, shirred off my left mirror, and hit my left hand so hard it disfigured a ring I was wearing (no more rings on THESE fingers when I ride! ). Mucho painful, and my hand was quite swollen by the time I got to the office (about another 15 minutes of riding). I thought my hand was broken (clutching was NOT fun), but I iced my hand all day and rode home that night. It wasn't too fun, but I did it (and it wasn't broken...just felt like it)!

If it were my pinkie, I'd just wrap it up well and go for it! ...as long as you're not on narcotic pain meds, that is.  :icon_mrgreen:

Locked up the front brake on my GS and broke a small bone in my left wrist. Weird. The doc called it a Navicular bone or something along those lines. Never hurt that bad tho on the ride back. The chunks of skin from my knee and back after the blood dried to my jeans, now that freaking hurt trying to clean it up.

I rode with screwed up ligaments in my ankle...  I couldn't stand on it, so I balanced the bike on my other foot.  :icon_rolleyes:

In my defence, I had somewhere to go with no one to drive me...  And it hurt less to shift with a screwed up ankle than it did to work the clutch in the car.

My fracture was due to the hood of a '60's Plymouth (2nd time I've been hit by one), as it cut across my path, while I was out "blow drying" my hair (this was before the helmet law in 1990).

I was doing some roofing for a friend outside of the city and a Wasp stung me on the ear. I had been stung before and never had an allergic reaction. but this time my ear swelled up to about 3/8" thick (that's about 3 times larger than normal). I thought getting my helmet on was painful... but the 40 minute ride home at highway speeds with the vibration created by the wind on my helmet was much worse.
I now carry an Epipen... when I remember... which is rare... on that note, where the heck is it? uh oh   :icon_lol:

I-60, blue ridge mountains, North GA  just outside Dalonegah.   Up way high it's really a beautiful site. Well the small off roads are gravel and I was stopping to buy something from a hick vendor.
Out on my first real solo trek away from home (150mi+)  never road on gravel before.  pulled the front brake.  ended up front fliping over the bars onto my back. I had a backback on. with stuff in it.  ouch don't cover it.  the bike hit me from behind.

the bike was ok except for a busted clutch handle a few scratches.
I was really stunned for a good while. riding home was a bit surreal, the first 30 min. no bones broke but plenty of pain set in on the ride home also.  When I get home and look in the mirror, I had a few dark bruises on my back.

my trip pack now has a permanent seat on the gas tank. :icon_confused:

Went riding today, and it was so nice i just drove  into work. I didnt really even notice my finger. I had a bandage and finger condom on it. It was a Buddha Loves You putting my gloves on though. I got those gaunlets and it was hurting when i had to pull it over my finger. :o. But its all in the past. The road cleared my mind. I love this game.

1998 Baja - Encinada000000000000 to Mike's Sky Ranch & back - all off road...450 miles total.

60 miles into the first day of a 450 trip my leg muscles hurt so badly from standing on the pegs. We were only 60 miles into the first day and stopped for lunch and my legs hurt so bad I wept.

We had another 65 miles to go before reaching Mike's Sky Ranch. We are in the middle on F ing nowhere on top of a mountain and I'm thinking to myself "I am f ing dead".

I made it one day and had to ride around in the chase truck for the next 3 days - I could barely walk for the next 2 weeks.

Horrible.

Sometimes I wear surgeon's gloves for extra warmth. When I do, I rub baby powder on my hands after I put the rubber gloves on, and it helps smooth the way for putting my leather moto gloves on...might work for you, too, if your finger condom is rubber.

rode back from a spill on the bike with bent bars half a throttle barrel, no clutch, rashed up Calf (biker wallet saved the ass cheek) and a chipped left elbow that made the arm usless from swelling and pain, if not for my jacket im sure it would have been worse then a chip.  managed to get the bike upright one armed (82gs750E) NOT easy. cranked over till it restarted. hit the kill switch, put it in gear and restarted. rode for about 20 mins through traffic in blinding pain back to inlaws house (was my only transpo and yeah, didnt come to complete stop on a few corners in first gear) knocked it into neutral as i rolled in to have the ole lady come out bitching i was late. she stoped in mid sentence as i turned the key off with the good hand and lifted the shreded leg over the bike and walked inside without saying a word. would seem i then decided to sit on the couch and attempt to take a nap with my left arm swollen up like popeye's, right leg bleeding a fair bit and helmet still straped inplace. i found it rude for them to keep wakeing me up by trying to get my helmet off and touching my leg.  i remmeber i snapped outa the funk when one of them touched my arm, i suddenly found myself speaking fluent Bablonian and remember agreeing with someone about going to the hospital.
