DA BEACH!!!!!!

but MOBILE is a good ways out.  and so is tallahasee. In opposite directions. (sorry for the geography lesson)

I am in FT. RUCKER too. so THatGuY and I can meet up easy.
ASH and EGaeus  will make most the trip solo.  that sucks.

Anyone else from the MOBILE or Tallahasee areas?

I am free every afternoon.

I thought I saw a blue GS today. leaving the Daleville gate around 1045.  was that you?
I was like " that must be That Guy"
If it was, I saw the monkey suit.   I got out in 04'. I am a Bonafide Civilian now, sport'n a beard.

I got nothing better to do. so if you want to meet up let me know.

I've never been but I could make some 411 calls to find an IHOP or someother place we could all meet for Breakfast.
Sit down meet/eat and shake off the first leg of the trip.
Then head south to the coast.

I'd like to wing it from there, but if you know of a good route, bring it.

What's the itenerary?  Like all weekend or what.  Problem is that I spent all my money on repairs, so I don't have much left for fun. :(

I was thinking we meet in De Funiak Springs and head to the coast. J
ust for Saturday. be back for a late supper.
I don't know the area at all.  I usually wing it until I feel like heading home.
Unless you got a plan. we all know how to read a map.

come on man.  eat a Ramen noodle for dinner for a week.
I know its a longer trip for you. but if we swing it south you will have a shorter trip home.

My rear tire is showing its age and i was hoping to wear it out on a long trip.  Hope you can make it.

I saw a gs once at a mall in killeen TX.  I approached the guy and mentions GSTWIN.com  but I think he was all weirded out.

best to let them wander in alone I guess.

http://www.mapquest.com/directions/main.adp?go=1&do=nw&rmm=1&un=m&cl=EN&ct=NA&rsres=1&1ffi=&1l=&1g=&1pl=&1v=&1n=&2ffi=&2l=&2g=&2pl=&2v=&2n=&1pn=&1a=&1c=&1s=&1z=36362&2pn=&2a=&2c=brewton&2s=al&2z=&r=f

we could take this route almost to Brewton and circle back on 55 then head back to rucker.

it'll be 200-300miles. round trip.   5-6 hrs   maybe.  be back by 3pm at the latest if we leave at 9am.  I'd rather leave 7-8am though.

aw man...its a "scenic route"

I didn't notice.  I thought it was twisties.  we are better off going to abbeville and back (hwy 27).

I dunno, man LA sucks ass.

do you know of any twisties?  I don't know if I am up for a 300mi "scenic" criuse.  I ws hoping it'd be more exciting.

any suggestions?

Florida sucks too.  I found a few roads locally that might have a few twisties, but nothing spectacular.  I'm headed to AR in a few weeks.  I'm going to put in some miles in the Ozark Foothills.

Did you guys ever get together.  I am definitely planning a trip to DeFuniak this summer.  Probably a weekend in late May.  Going to hit 98 and ride along the coast.  My friend and I were talking about it last night after we went riding.

Do any of you guys still live in Alabama or all get transfered out?  I just got a GS a few weeks ago and would love to find somewhere fun to ride it.  Right now I stay on I-10 to the coast guard base and back.

I'm now in Birmingham, 20 minutes from the Barber Motorsports Museum and Race Track, and loving the hills here. If / when a group is put together, please include me in the mass spamming er, emailing invites.

If you're coming up through B'ham for whatever, holler. I know 3 (ok, a few more) fantastic roads now and working on more weekly :)
