So my rear left (on the left side of the seat) frame cover is cracked. I'm looking for a quick fix. (will order a new one in a while) Any suggestions on what i could do? Maybe glue a piece of plastic to the back of it to reinforce where it's cracked? Any suggestions/ideas appreciated.
P.S. I'm worried that somebody climbing on the back of my bike will hit it and crack it the rest of the way through. That's why i'm even bothering to do something about it before getting a new one.

plastic weld perhaps? fiberglass it is another option. drill a small pilot hole at end of crack to prevent it from creeping and growing. you could drill two holes and zip tie it, like I did all my track plastics. Okay, maybe not.
Drill a small hole at the each end of the crack; this will help stop the spreading of the crack. I know there is JBweld for metal, but I think there is Plastiweld for plastic, that will help, too.

I've seen people "sew" their plastics back together with safety wire.
One guy actually made it look pretty hot.
others...not so hot but it kept it together.

I also have a crack on the same body piece. The previous owner fixed it by using a piece of plastic and epoxying it to death from the backside just like you suggested.
So far so good, the crack hasn't gotten any worse and it looks fine. I've removed that body piece many times and it seems to be just as strong as the uncracked opposite piece.

Plastex -- Goes on thin and holds strong. Easy to apply.
