Title: Religion or Cult
Post by: Codger on April 06, 2006, 06:04:43 PM
I had to go into Houston on business and it gave me a chance to hit the dealers in the pursuit of boots for my freakish feet.

Instead of my local dealers with 5 sport bikes on the floor.  I went through 3 dealers, totalling probably 80 sport bikes of 7 makes.
Although my F is only 2 months old, I am not averse to strolling through the aisles.

I saw one bike that I liked, then I discovered that it was another 500F.

There can only be two possible explanations to this situation:

The extensive collective wisdom of this message board has lifted me from the darkness into the light?
Have I been taken by the air cooled angel which can be all bikes to all riders?

This message board has confused and controlled me into this insidious cult?
Am I to be subservient to the two valved beast, have I sacrificed my soul to the GS?

Yes...  You are doomed.

I had the same thing...  When I first bought the GS I thought it was really ugly (not as ugly as some bikes, but nothing like what I wanted (aka Thruxton)).  But, now I like it...

Although the Fs are still ugly.  :flipoff:

Really though...  I like the Fs more the more I look at them...  I think they're possessing me too.  :o

In analytical psychology "lightness" or "darkness" of the individual unconscious is subject to the person's interpretation in it's pure form.

Translation:  What side do you FEEL you're on?

Personally, most other bikes do not attract my attention more than fleetingly.  The GS on the other hand stands out.  Of course I'm jaded, I own one.

That would require a deep thoughtful retrospective of my psyche.
Since you don't ask a question if you can't handle the answer, I'll pass on the analysis.

I prefer the shallow thoughtless hedonistic approach.
I may not serve a higher purpose, but I'm having a good time.

I must have my PRETTY!

must be a cult.
cause:
I don't feel saved
I still haven't forgiven anyone
I don't have the urge to strap an explosive vest on.
I still eat cows and pork regardless of how they are killed

The fact that you even have to ask this makes the answer obvious....  :icon_twisted:

Pandy,
I occasionally loose my way on the road between reality and fantasy.  I have to ask directions. :cookoo:
