Title: Hello everybody
Post by: Dave3sv on April 08, 2006, 12:23:21 PM
Just wanted to say Hey to everybody on here.  I have been lurking around these pages for a while now, mostly just for ideas on mods and what not.  I ride a 04 gs500f that has been through only minor modifications...for now, but that's just because I thought it would be a good idea to get the easy stuff out of the way first.  I'll put some pictures up if anybody is interested. I'm located in central/east Florida. If theres anybody around those parts on here let me know, I could always use another person to ride with. Thanks for the great info I have recieved already, and in advance for anything else I might gain from this forum.

Sure, post away.  Everybody loves to look at pictures.

One great way to find someone to ride with is to plan a meeting somewhere near you.  Head on over to the Meet & Greet (http://gstwins.com/gsboard/index.php?board=5.0) forum, post a note to say that in three weekends from now you'll be at a specific location (Coffee Shop, Dairy Queen, resturant) and an hour later will go on a 2-4 hour ride somewhere near there.  Bet you there'll be several responses, one or two will appear, and you'll enjoy the day.  Even if the worst happens, you'll still have fun with a solo ride -- just bring a digital camera and show everyone what they missed.   :)

Thanks RedShift, that sounds like a great idea.  Hopefully I'll get around to that before too long, and get a positive response.

It wouldn't be a short ride...probly 2 - 2 1/2 hours, but I wouldn't mind getting up there sometime.  If you look at a map of Florida I'm directly east of Tampa on the coast.
