first time ever that I forget something: my wallet. Left it in one of the shooping carts at the market and went home. Minutes later I realized I had lost the wallet with the credit cards, the debit card, the SS card, the recently acquired immigration work permit and other goodies. :mad:
What is shocking to me is that I had never experienced something like this... so it must mean I am finally getting old :icon_confused:
Anyway, went back to the place, looked in the shooping carts and found nothing. :nono: then I went to customer service and they had it.
Hopefully I won't start forgetting how to operate the GS anytime soon.

I wouldn't worry too much about it.
Once your forgetfullness progresses a bit more, you will start to forget that you have become forgetfull, and it won't bother you a bit :thumb:

I tried riding one a few days ago and nearly face planted into the sidewalk. The steering was twitchy, I couldn't lean it at all, and the brakes were all messed up. The front brake was on the left hand and the rear brake on the right. I grabbed a little bit too much front and ended up going over the bars.
I know my bike is around here somewhere... Wait... I think I see it...
Is it this thiny that has two round doodads on the bottom, with this really pointy thing on top that looks like it could be used to spread my ass cheels apart?
What's this flat rubber stuff that goes around the round doodads? It looks like some sort of whip, but I can't find the handle... I guess I'm not gonna be havin fun tonight. :cry:

Heh. I went back to the bike after commuting on the motorcycle for a season to gain some miles (expereince) under my belt. When I first cycled up to a red light I unconsciously grabbed the "clutch". Nearly went over the handlebars.
In the meantime the transition is quite smooth, though I find myself using the rear brake a whole lot more on the bike than I used to...
just a question.. why do you carry your social security card? There's no reason that you'd need to have it on you, except for at a job interview. That's the one piece of information in your wallet that is NOT (relatively) easy to replace. I keep mine in a fireproof lockbox under my bed. Just my $.02
It's easy to replace. It just takes some time....

I almost did this yesterday! Got the commuter bike out of the basement, adjusted the cables, inflated the tires, and nearly crashed into the curb/my car going down the driveway. I mean, who puts a curb on a driveway anyway. All I could think was 'damn i'm high in the air, and this thing is really twitchy!' Got used to 400 lbs and low center of gravity on the GS and the skinny tired road bike was a handful.
my bike is collecting dust since I started motorcycling :icon_razz: but hey NiceGuysFinishLast, you got a point there. I don't recall anytime when I had to use the card (except a couple of years back when I did not remember the numbers since i'm immigrant), so I think I will keep it somewhere else safe.
