So does anyone have the part number for the bolt and the washer that keeps the chain guard attached? Mine fell off!! :o . The back one is gone and I noticed the front one before it fell off...it was very loose!
If not a part number then a size and thread pitch?
I would guess that last year when the service guys put on my new chain and sprockets they removed the chain guard but when they replaced it they didn't tighten the bolts properly or forgot to use loctite or something. That's a couple of goofs up that service bunch has thrown my way :2guns:

Yeah, I wouldn't go there...they sound like hacks.
Chainguard screw - Go to the hardware store, take off the remaining one and take it inside to match it and buy a new one...washer, too.
Yeah Scratch, that's what I thought of doing but the thread pitch might be the hard thing to match. Those bolts screw right into the metal of the swing arm - no backing nut. Wouldn't want to strip the threads.
I'll take a look at 'da hardware store tho' to see what I can find. Thanks :thumb:

Last year, I went to my local dealer and they ordered the bolt for me. Pretty simple process... I didn't need to know the part number
Well I might be doing that.
But I'm wanting to go cheap, if possible - you know, pay about $0.5 at the hardware store vs. what - maybe $5.00 from the dealer.
Its all about the $4.50!! :laugh: ( The hardware store is on the way home - the dealer is in the opposite direction: another motivating force.)

they are #14 and 15 on this part fiche from mrcycle.com which if you go to the dealer they should use the same one. 0.76 for the nut and 1.12 for the washer.
